Can I buy the system to scan myself if I am not a medical professional?
Mobisante does not endorse use of its ultrasound products outside of sale and use by, or on the order, of a physician.

How do I decide whether the smartphone or tablet is right for me?
Both products have unique and innovative attributes that apply to a large segment of users.  In general, users who value maximum portability, the smallest form factor (pocket size) and built-in cellular data connectivity will find the smartphone system an optimum option. Users who value larger image sizes, higher resolution, longer battery life, DICOM output, and/or the option to use the endocavity probes for certain applications will find the tablet system to be a more optimum solution. The MobiUS ultrasound system

Do I have to buy a special smartphone or tablet to use the device?
No. With the MobiUS SP1 or TC2 systems, we give you a complete system that consists of a smartphone or tablet, probe and the software pre-installed on the system. The MobiUS PE software will work with most any Windows 7 or 8 laptop or tablet. See the MobiUS PE Specifications page for more details.

Can the device be used when there is no network connectivity?
Yes. Network connectivity is not required for system operation. However, you can use either a Wi-Fi or a cellular network to transmit patient data.

Can I use the smartphone to make calls or send text messages?
No, the phone is dedicated to ultrasound imaging only.

Does the probe and software work with an iPhone or iPad?
No. However, Mobisante expects to have a version of the MobiUS application that will work with other platforms in the future.

What kind of warranty do you provide?
The probes have a 1-year limited warranty. The tablet has a 2-year limited warranty and the smartphone has a 3 month limited warranty.

How long does the battery last on the smartphone?
The smartphone supports up to 90 minutes of continuous scanning on a full charge. Larger batteries are available that provide up to 330 minutes of continuous scanning.

How long does the battery last on the tablet?
The tablet provides up to 2.25 hours of continuous scanning time on a full charge.

Technical Questions

Does the MobiUS TC2 tablet system support DICOM images?
Yes.

How do I transfer data from the smartphone?
Data from the device can be transferred using Wi-Fi, cellular, or USB sync to PC. A SIM card with the appropriate data plan is required to use the cellular network.

How do I transfer data from the tablet?
Data from the device can be downloaded by email or the Export feature. Email is supported through a Wi-Fi network. Exporting data can be done via USB or a network drive.

How do I get the MobiUS™ Viewer?
If you have a MobiUS SP1 or a MobiUS TC1 system that does not support DICOM output, you can get the required MobiUS Viewer by contacting support@mobisante.com.

How to I obtain a DICOM viewer for my DICOM files?
Go to our Customer Support to learn more about DICOM viewer options.

What kinds of probes does your device support?
The MobiUS systems support multiple probes for different clinical applications. 3.5 MHz, 5.0 MHz, 7.5 MHz, and 12 MHz probes are currently supported on the MobiUS SP1 smartphone system.The MobiUS TC1/TC2 tablet systems support the same probes and an additional 7.5 MHz endocavity probe.

Do the systems have the CE mark?
Not at this time.

How do you ensure data security?
Data are password protected on the device and encrypted when transmitted. If an incorrect password is entered too many times, all data are destroyed.
